Solana Mobile links daily SKR burns to validator and wallet revenue
Solana Mobile’s 3 November update says its daily SKR buy-and-burn programme has operated since 15 October, removing more than 1.1 million tokens by the announcement date. It uses a portion of validator and wallet revenue.
The funding comes from staking commissions earned by the Solana Mobile validator and fees generated through Seed Vault Wallet activity. The programme buys SKR on the open market and burns the purchased tokens. SKR is the Solana Mobile ecosystem asset, distinct from Solana’s SOL.
The company provides a public wallet address and a running tracker for checking the transactions. Its update says the first monthly order was funded with 24,573 USDC; the first daily purchase bought and burned 60,885 SKR. Those are different measures and should not be presented as the cost of one daily purchase.
The useful development is a documented connection between service revenue and token purchases. Burning tokens reduces supply relative to leaving those tokens outstanding, but it does not establish demand, a future price or a return for holders.
