Lisk closes its chain; assets left behind face an uncertain recovery
Lisk says its chain’s user-facing services, including the Portal and Bridge, closed on 2 November. The company is continuing as a business finance platform, while LSK remains on Ethereum.
The closure is happening in stages, with remaining infrastructure switched off after public services. Lisk says unassigned staking-reward tokens will be burned; we have not verified completion.
The most consequential detail is for anyone who still has assets on the old chain. Lisk says recovery cannot be guaranteed and plans a manual claims process in January 2027. That is a future process, not an available withdrawal route today. Its closure notice is the source to follow for further instructions.
The new business is in early access and combines fiat and stablecoin accounts, payments and approval controls. Lisk says LSK will serve as its loyalty token, with businesses expected to earn and spend it from 2027. A continuing company and token do not mean its old network or bridge remain operational.
The company has moved offices. The bridge has not come with it.
