Your wallet. Your choices.
Updated 1 November 2026.
Creating a wallet
Pond Wallet uses Privy for sign-in and wallet technology. Choosing wallet sign-in creates an embedded wallet if you do not already have a wallet linked. Existing readers can choose Create Pond wallet. Simply reading news or using My Pond does not create one. Google, X and email are sign-in methods; they are not the blockchain holding your tokens. Keep using the same account, and link additional sign-in methods while signed in to avoid creating separate accounts.
Who controls it
Your embedded wallet belongs to your authenticated Privy user. This version adds no agent signer, server signing key or automatic spending permission. Bumpy cannot move your funds. Each transaction requires your wallet confirmation. Private keys are not sent to our reading service, repository, analytics or chat.
Recovery and another way in
Before adding meaningful funds, link another sign-in method in My Pond account settings. Losing or compromising your only social account can affect wallet access. The wallet page offers Privy’s secure key-export screen for embedded wallets, so you can use the address in another compatible wallet. Keep any exported key private. The Royal Pond cannot reverse a completed blockchain transaction or recover a key you have lost. For external wallets, use your provider’s recovery process.
Wallet MFA
The wallet page shows the MFA methods reported by Privy for your account. When available, choose Set up wallet MFA to enroll through Privy’s secure screen. Merely opening the screen does not enable MFA: complete the setup and check that the page reports MFA on. Privy enforces enrolled factors for sensitive embedded-wallet actions, subject to its verification window. This does not add MFA to MetaMask or Base Wallet. Keep access to your authenticator or passkey; adding another login method is not a replacement for your MFA factor.
Linked wallets
Pond Wallet and any MetaMask, Base or other wallets you link keep their own addresses and balances. Linking proves ownership and adds a way to access your account; it does not move funds. The wallet list keeps linked addresses visible even when they need reconnecting. Choose Use wallet to change the wallet shown in the buying panel. Pond Wallet is the default when you return to the page. Purchases use the selected wallet, and each transaction still needs confirmation in that wallet.
Balances, quotes and transactions
The first version supports ETH and the official ROYALBUMPY token on Robinhood Chain (4663). The browser asks Robinhood’s public RPC for balances and transaction checks, and KyberSwap for swap routes and encoded transaction data. Those providers receive the address and transaction details needed to answer the request, as well as normal connection metadata. Public RPC and quote services can be rate limited or unavailable.
Blockchain addresses and completed transactions are public. The interface saves its latest transaction record locally in this browser, scoped to the wallet address and network, to help avoid accidental repeat submissions. It contains the address, amounts, encoded transaction and hash, not private keys or passwords. Clearing browser storage removes this local record; check your wallet or the explorer before repeating an unresolved action. Signing out hides the wallet view but does not erase public blockchain activity or the device’s transaction record. Use a private device for wallet activity.
Buying and fees
The Pond adds no service fee to this version’s swaps. Underlying trading fees, gas and price impact can still apply. Quotes expire, and a minimum received amount limits slippage. Price impact is currently unavailable for this token and must be acknowledged before confirming a purchase. Funding currently means sending ETH from a service that supports Robinhood Chain; card funding and bridging are not integrated. Transactions can fail or remain pending. An unknown result is not a failed transaction: check the wallet and explorer before trying again.
Separate from reading and PondLab
Your reading collection remains a separate service. Clearing bookmarks does not delete a wallet or move assets. PondLab is still in development; this wallet does not activate real-money ponds, token benefits or holder rewards.
Collectibles
Collecting opens a guided purchase in your selected wallet. The original prototype remains one ROYALBUMPY per copy. Daily editions are priced at 0.001 ETH or their displayed fixed Bumpy amount, plus network fees on Robinhood Chain. ETH purchases pay and mint in one transaction. Bumpy purchases first approve the exact displayed amount, then pay and mint together. Each step needs your wallet confirmation. Ownership is shown only after a successful blockchain check for that address.
An unpurchased preview is held only on the current screen. Closing it, leaving the page or five minutes without an active transaction clears the preview. This does not undo an approval or a pending or completed transaction. Uncertain transactions remain recorded to prevent duplicate payments; an unused Bumpy approval can be revoked in Collection details & permissions.
The collection declares a 5% creator royalty for supporting marketplaces, not ordinary transfers. Resale offers are not integrated. The contract has not had an independent audit. View the collection.
