MY POND · ACCOUNT PRIVACY

Your corner. Your choices.

Last updated 30 October 2026.

What is stored

My Pond uses Privy to authenticate your email, wallet, X or Google account. For social sign-in, Privy handles the OAuth connection and linked provider identifier, username or email, and available profile details. The site displays your linked handle or email in your account; our reading service continues to identify you by your Privy account ID. This sign-in feature does not publish posts, follow accounts or read direct messages. Privy manages the sign-in identities you choose to link. Our reading service stores an internal account identifier, your optional nickname, selected topics, saved-story keys, read marks and timestamps. We do not collect your wallet seed phrase, private keys, holdings or transaction history for this service.

Device saves and account saves

Bookmarks made while signed in are saved to your account. Guest bookmarks are saved in this browser. My Pond offers an explicit import into your signed-in collection. Account bookmarks and preferences are stored by our Cloudflare service and can be accessed using another linked sign-in method or device. On shared devices, check which account is signed in before importing.

Sign-in storage

Privy uses browser storage to maintain your session. Signing out clears the active sign-in. When our service confirms the logout request, it also blocks that session’s existing access token until expiry. If the service is unreachable, the interface reports that revocation was not confirmed; access tokens normally expire within about an hour. We do not place passwords, access tokens or email addresses in URLs, public feeds or the news repository. Avoid signing in on a device you do not trust.

Control your data

The Account section lets you export your My Pond reading records or clear cloud bookmarks, read marks and preferences. Clearing reading data does not delete your Privy sign-in identity. For complete account deletion or identity-recovery help, contact the project owner through the Royal Pond community; do not post private credentials or verification codes in the group. Device saves can be removed using your browser’s site-storage controls.

Pond Wallet

The separate Pond Wallet page offers wallet creation, balances and transactions. Reading sign-in here does not automatically create a wallet or authorise spending. Read the wallet privacy and recovery details before using it.

Wallet sign-in for reading

Wallet sign-in proves control of an address through an authentication signature. It does not approve tokens, move funds, create a trading account or promise rewards. Pond Wallet has its own explanation and explicit choices. News reading remains available without an account or tokens.

The Royal Morning Brief

Email is optional and separate from sign-in. If you opt in, we send a confirmation link. Only a confirmed address is added to the daily briefing list. Cloudflare stores your email, consent wording, request and confirmation times, subscription status and, when you subscribe while signed in, your account identifier. Resend delivers confirmation emails and the briefing. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours; unconfirmed requests are removed after seven days during scheduled cleanup. Short-lived anti-abuse counters expire within two days; Turnstile checks protect signup. No email addresses appear in public feeds or the news repository.

Every briefing includes an unsubscribe link; linked subscribers can also unsubscribe in My Pond. Resend may record delivery, bounce, complaint, open and click events according to the owner’s Resend settings. We retain confirmed consent and unsubscribe records to honour your choice. Clearing reading data does not unsubscribe your email or delete these records. Contact the project owner privately through the community for access or deletion requests. Resend privacy policy.

Made me chuckle reactions

Reacting to Bumpy’s commentary is optional and needs no sign-in. On your first reaction we save a random browser identifier and your selections in local storage. Cloudflare stores a hash of that identifier alongside story keys and reaction times so repeated taps do not add duplicate votes. Tap again to remove a reaction. We retain active reactions until removed and show aggregate counts; these are browser reactions, not verified unique people. They are separate from your account, wallet and newsletter.

Short-lived anti-abuse counters use a daily hash of the connection IP address and expire from storage during subsequent reaction requests after 24 hours. Clearing browser storage resets this browser’s ability to undo earlier reactions; it does not itself delete those server records. Contact the owner privately for help. Reactions guide editorial judgement, rather than establishing a scientific measure of humour or popularity.

Service providers

Privy’s privacy policy explains its identity service. Cloudflare hosts our reader data. No marketing email subscription is created by signing in or following topics. My Pond currently retains your reading preferences until you clear them or request account deletion.
