Bullish plans Aptos and Ethereum support for issuer-sponsored shares
Bullish named Solana, Aptos and Ethereum as initial network partners on 3 November. Its existing work runs on Solana; expansion to the other two chains is planned, with no launch dates specified in the announcement.
The company describes a model in which issuers sponsor the tokenised shares and the transfer agent retains the official ownership record. Offering more networks would let issuers reach investors across different blockchains without treating a change of chain as a replacement for that legal record.
To illustrate its existing work, Bullish pointed to an event held with Equiniti at the New York Stock Exchange on 27 October. The companies demonstrated a transfer of 61 million reserved Bullish shares on Solana, administered by Equiniti. Those were shares earmarked for the proposed acquisition; the demonstration did not mean the acquisition had closed.
For readers, the practical distinction is between demonstrated capability and future availability. Solana provided the working example. Aptos and Ethereum are the announced expansion route. A network being named does not establish that every investor can already trade the shares there, or that the product has identical access rules in every jurisdiction.
More chains for the shares, and the ownership register stays put. Even digital luggage needs to know whose it is.
