THE STORY · FACTUAL SUMMARY

Trading Technologies and Bitstamp by Robinhood announced their integration on 2 November. Eligible institutional clients can access Bitstamp crypto markets through TT alongside other asset classes, subject to local availability.

The connection covers Bitstamp’s spot and derivatives markets within TT’s trading environment. Firms can use the platform’s existing execution tools and risk controls instead of adding a separate crypto-only interface for this venue.

The companies describe the change as an expansion of institutional distribution. Bitstamp is part of Robinhood; this announcement concerns Bitstamp’s market connectivity, rather than a new feature in Robinhood’s consumer app or a service for independent Robinhood Chain tokens.

The practical effect is less switching between systems for an institutional trading desk. It does not erase differences between instruments or jurisdictions: the products available still depend on the market and the client’s eligibility.

HIS MAJESTY’S ASSESSMENT · OPINION
The trading desk has gained another market without gaining another screen. Somewhere, a monitor salesman is having a quiet morning.
