Trezor warns CryptoBilis buyers while a reported implant awaits examination.

Trezor's 30 October notice describes a suspected hardware implant in a Safe 5 sold through CryptoBilis. The manufacturer has not yet examined the device and reports no known customer losses from this case. It is warning affected buyers now rather than waiting for lab confirmation.

The report reached Trezor on 28 October and concerns a device bought in August. Trezor says photos and a video interview made the account credible enough to warrant precautions. The alleged extra board could transmit screen contents, including a recovery phrase. That mechanism remains an allegation under investigation.

The company tells users of any Trezor model supplied by CryptoBilis from March 2026 onwards to move funds to a newly created wallet with a new seed. Restoring the old seed elsewhere does not address possible exposure. Unused affected devices should not be set up. Trezor offers replacement arrangements through its official support channel.

Read the linked notice directly before acting. Trezor says support will never request a recovery phrase and warns about incident-related phishing. It has not reported other resellers as affected.
