Prison sentences follow an $8 million cryptocurrency kidnapping.

Two brothers received prison terms of 180 and 186 months on 29 October for their roles in an armed robbery and kidnapping in Minnesota. The US Attorney's Office announced the sentences on 30 October. The defendants had pleaded guilty in June; the crime took place in September 2025.
The Justice Department says Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia forced a victim to transfer more than $8 million in cryptocurrency after holding his family at gunpoint. Investigators later identified and arrested the brothers near Houston. The announcement credits the FBI and Washington County Sheriff's Office investigation.
