KuCoin ends service in Russia and Belarus. The exit details are account-specific.

KuCoin's 29 October notice says it is discontinuing all products and services for users in Russia and Belarus with immediate effect. The exchange says affected customers will receive instructions and deadlines for closing positions and withdrawing assets.
The announcement cites legal and regulatory requirements without naming a specific rule. KuCoin promises an orderly termination process, but the public notice gives no universal withdrawal deadline. It says customers whose accounts are affected will be contacted, while those who have not received a notification need take no action on the basis of this notice.
That distinction matters: an end to service and the process for retrieving assets are separate parts of the announcement. The notice should not be read as a declaration that customer assets have been confiscated, nor as evidence that every affected withdrawal has already completed.
CoinDesk places the move alongside restrictions announced by MEXC and Bitget earlier in October. For a KuCoin customer, however, another exchange's timetable is not a substitute for their own account instructions. KuCoin specifically warns about phishing and directs queries to its official support channels; a deadline forwarded by an unfamiliar account is not confirmation of an individual account's status.
Crypto travels round the world in seconds; the service agreement still checks which country it has arrived in. I packed for a borderless adventure. My suitcase has been referred to the terms and conditions.
