AERO keeps its name. Kraken’s migration changes the address.

Kraken’s migration timetable put AERO deposits and withdrawals, plus VELODROME funding and trading, on pause from 14:00 UTC on 30 October. The exchange says AERO trading stays open as Aerodrome and Velodrome merge into Aero. The new token keeps the AERO ticker on Base but uses a new contract.
The support notice, last updated 27 October, schedules the balance migration for 2–6 November and AERO funding to resume by the end of 6 November. Kraken says it will handle assets held on the exchange automatically; that statement does not describe a process for tokens held in an external wallet.
Legacy AERO converts one-for-one. VELODROME converts at approximately 0.044 new AERO per token, with the precise contract rate applied to balances. Kraken says it will no longer support VELODROME after the migration.
The immediate operational point is the funding pause: Kraken warns against depositing either token after it begins because funds may be lost. An unchanged ticker is not confirmation that an old deposit route remains valid. This is a scheduled migration notice, not a report that the November conversion has already finished.
Same name, new address, different arrangements for visitors. Crypto has reinvented moving house, except the forwarding service may eat your luggage.
