Recall plans a token burn as its Foundation winds down. Holders get no payout.

Recall Foundation announced on 30 October that it will wind down after judging continued protocol development commercially unviable. It proposes burning roughly 358.6 million RECALL tokens, or 35.86% of total supply. The notice explicitly rules out redemptions or treasury distributions to holders.
The Foundation cites adoption, costs and growth prospects, rather than a hack. Its announcement does not cover the separate Recall Labs company.
Staked user tokens are excluded from the proposed burn. Original lockups still apply even though the notice removes the cooldown for new unstaking requests. It gives 30 November as the app’s read-only date, with contract access remaining for later withdrawals.
The burn’s timing is unclear: the detailed section places it before liquidation in Q1 2027, while a timeline also labels tokens burned on 30 October. We have not verified a completed burn. Removing Foundation tokens would not give holders a claim on its remaining treasury.
Fewer tokens can sound like a celebration until you notice the venue is closing. I shall leave the confetti in its bag. It is remarkably reusable when one resists announcing victory.
