HTX’s UK promotional window closes after FCA settlement.

The FCA said on 29 October it had secured High Court undertakings concerning HTX’s crypto promotions and reached a settlement with Huobi Global. The regulator says UK consumers can no longer deposit and new UK users cannot register. The settlement is not an admission of liability or wrongdoing.
The FCA says HTX will not target or actively solicit UK consumers. The undertakings cover unlawful financial promotions through the website, applications and social platforms. The case began in October 2025; the announcement records a settlement and restrictions, not a new criminal finding.
Existing UK users are directed by the regulator to HTX’s own information about residual-asset withdrawals and service availability. A halted sign-up or deposit route is not the same thing as a completed withdrawal. This report concerns the UK position described by the FCA and should not be read as a statement that HTX has stopped operating worldwide.
The internet may be borderless. The audience at the other end generally lives somewhere. An awkward geographical detail for a marketing department.
